چکیده :
Background and Aim: Children obesity is a growing problem that requires special attention. Schools, with their educational role, can be effective in preventing it. This study addresses this issue by examining practical solutions in educational and social environments. Methods: The review used data bases such as SID, Magiran, and PubMed/Medline, and used keywords such as "prevention strategies", "obesity" and "children. The scope of work was deliberately limited to studies that were published between the years of 2015 to 2021 in Persian or English. According to the framework PRISMA, work began with an initial set of 150 articles. After removing 30 duplicates, with an initial look at the titles and abstracts, 80 other studies were also removed and finally 12 article was selected for in-depth analysis. The CASP tool was also used to assess the quality of studies and eventually the findings were extracted. Results: Studies have shown that parental efforts to promote healthy eating and physical activity in children in the early years of life are effective. However, as children enter school, family and school coordination to promote healthy eating and physical activity becomes even more important. Healthy eating education in schools can correct students’ poor eating habits. Access to healthy food sources in schools has also had a positive impact. Some studies have also examined students’ levels of physical activity. Conclusion: The study showed that school-based interventions were more effective in institutionalizing healthy habits and increasing children's quality of life. These results are consistent with similar research and highlight the importance of policymakers ' attention to school based educational and sports programs. However , the limited number of studies and the diversity of methods do not allow generalization. It is suggested that future research should focus on cultural differences and support for these programs . Keywords: Prevention strategies1; Obesity2; Children3
