چکیده :
Background and Aim: Childhood obesity has become a major problem in the healthcare system in recent decades, which indicates the importance of investigating it due to its impact on metabolic disorders. Among the factors affecting childhood obesity, the issue of the effect of intestinal microbiota on childhood obesity is discussed. Changes in the composition of microbiota and bacterial diversity, which are called dysbiosis, and its impact on metabolism, inflammatory processes, and host immunity, subsequently cause a variety of disorders and diseases. Methods:In this study, which used reputable scientific databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar among the articles published from 2021 to 2024,38 articles were reviewed and included in the study cycle. Results: Obese people do not have obesity-related diseases, which are called healthy obesity (MHO) and unhealthy obesity (MUO). In the study of the microbiota of these two groups in children, it was observed that children with MUO have lower bacterial diversity and lower relative abundance of Christensenellaceae and Akkermansia, and higher abundance of Bacteroides than MHO children. It has also been shown among insulin-resistant (IR) and insulin-sensitive (IS) diabetics that the bacterial profile of IR individuals is characterized by a decrease in Firmicutes and an increase in Bacteroides and a decrease in the Firmicutes/Bacteroides ratio in IR individuals compared to non-diabetic individuals, and the genus Roseburia is less abundant in IR individuals. A relationship between the composition of microbiota and blood glucose levels has also been observed. Colonization of the intestinal microbiota of infants since birth is from the mother and then the environment, and maternal obesity, as well as vaginal or cesarean delivery, the child's diet, and antibiotic use during infancy also change the composition The gut microbiota, is effective. Conclusion: The effect of microbiota and the composition of the intestinal microbiota and the bacterial diversity present in the intestines of children on childhood obesity is considered an important factor.
