چکیده :
Objective: This study investigates the effects of Peiminine on the levels of antioxidant enzymes in the liver tissue of 20 male Wistar rats with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a common health issue that can lead to oxidative stress and damage to liver tissue. The aim of this research is to evaluate the therapeutic impacts of Peiminine on the activity of antioxidant enzymes in this animal model. Materials and Methods: In this study, 20 male Wistar rats were divided into two groups of 10: a control group and an experimental group. The experimental group received treatment with Peiminine, while the control group received no treatment. Fatty liver was induced using a high-fat diet. After a defined treatment period, liver samples from both groups were collected, and the activity of antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx), was assessed. Results: The results indicated that treatment with Peiminine significantly increased the activity of antioxidant enzymes in liver tissue and contributed to a reduction in oxidative stress. Additionally, the findings showed an improvement in the liver tissue condition in the treatment group. Conclusion: This study suggests that Peiminine can act as an effective treatment for enhancing the activity of antioxidant enzymes in the liver tissue of rats with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. These findings can serve as a foundation for future studies on optimizing antioxidant therapies and the application of Peiminine in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
