چکیده :

Childhood obesity represents a pressing global health challenge with serious metabolic consequences, including diabetes, hypertension, and sleep disorders. Its development stems from complex genetic-environmental interactions, with over 1100 genetic loci identified alongside modifiable risk factors like processed food consumption and sedentary lifestyles. Urban environments often exacerbate these issues through limited recreational spaces and academic pressures, reducing physical activity.The ketogenic diet (KD) - a high-fat, very-low-carb regimen inducing ketosis - has re-emerged as a potential intervention beyond its traditional use for epilepsy.
