Increasing trend of obesity is one of the biggest health challenges in the world.  Obesity can be the result of complex interactions between environmental factors, genetic predispositions, and human behaviors.  Obesity increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and some types of cancer, and also increases adverse effects on public health due to the high economic costs, increased mortality and reduced quality of life span.

 Therefore, urgent focus by health care providers, researchers and policy makers on this issue is essential in any society. Policy making, Continuous care Process, Casual network and community-based approaches are most useful ones.

 Due to the increasing prevalence of obesity and socio-economic consequences, it is one of the most active areas of research now a day.  Therefore, all countries should have a clear policy with regard to indigenous issues in the management of obese patients. 

Mother and child as well as vulnerable groups in society, in terms of their roles and futures, It will be clear the importance of addressing mother and child obesity.  So it will be valuable both in view of cost-effectiveness and policy making.

 It is hoped that this meeting provide an opportunity for both reflection and critical issues by experts, scholars and researchers in the provided fields, and its results be suitable for public health promotion.  Good luck and prosperity to all of you.
